JAE5 is a pioneering UK producer and one of the key architects behind afroswing and contemporary afrobeats. Raised in Plaistow, East London, he developed an early passion for music through artists like Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, teaching himself production on FruityLoops as a child. After spending part of his youth in Ghana, he returned to London and refined his craft through education and hands-on experience, eventually working with rising UK talent and building the foundation for a groundbreaking career.

He rose to prominence through his close collaboration with J Hus, producing the critically acclaimed album Common Sense, which helped define afroswing on a global scale. Since then, JAE5 has created chart-topping hits for artists including Dave, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, while also launching his own artist career with singles like “Dimension.” Known for his versatile, instinctive sound, JAE5 continues to push Afro-fusion forward, blending genres and shaping the future of global music.
